Vegas vs Washington Game #2

I didn’t watch much of this game as I got home late and fell asleep pretty early. I saw a couple of the goals though and got a read for the flow of the game.

Vegas outplayed the Caps but this time the bounces didn’t go their way. They took an early 1-0 lead on a James Neal goal before superstar Lars Eller evened up the score 2 minutes before the end of the first. Lots of penalties being called in this one so there were a lot of power plays all game.

Second period Ovie shows up!!! He had a quiet game 1 but was much better last night. Scored on a beauty feed on the pp from LARS ELLERRRRR! I guess I missed Kuznetsov leaving the game with an UBI but Eller took his spot on the pp and did a great job. He’s had a really good playoffs and maybe this can carry over to next season. Orpik scored a flukey goal, his first in 220 games or something crazy like that. It bounced off like 3 guys and jumped past Fleury. The bounces starting to go Washington’s way! My boy Shea Theodore scored another late period goal on a pp to close the gap going in to the third.

Vegas was all over Washington in the third just as you’d expect. Holtby stopped all 15 shots he faced including a beautiful stick save on Alex Tuch. The bounces went the Caps way and that’s the tail of this game. 3-2 Wash and the series is tied 1-1 going back to Washington on Saturday.
